published on 26 April 2017 in Fairs & Trade Shows
A book fair and old paper collectibles heaven is what you can expect at the Salon du Livre et Papiers Anciens. Highly anticipated by bibliophiles, philatelists, deltiologists, panelologists and other collectors of vintage paper, this trade show brings together a whole host of notable dealers and gives you a chance to meet fellow enthusiasts. It takes place at the Espace Champerret in the west of Paris from October 24th to November 2nd.
Antiquarian books, stamps, postcards and more
To the delight of collectors the Salon du Livre et Papiers Anciens is back, better than ever. There will be nearly 80 dealers waiting to show you their treasures. In an area of 1700 square metres you will be overwhelmed by the fabulous selection of collectibles on show. Whether you are a collector or a dealer this should not be missed, and even if you are not directly involved in this area of collectibles you will still find plenty of interest in simply wandering the aisles and seeing the treasures on show.
The event is divided into three main areas. The books section deals with antiquarian volumes and rarities from yesteryear to more recent vintage, including children’s books. Another section deals with paper ephemera and is even more diverse and wide ranging. Here you will find photographs, stamps, postcards, posters, labels, advertising images, prints and playing cards. There’s also cinema memorabilia, magazines, newspapers, manuscripts, autographs, letters and comic books. Essentially, there’s every kind of paper collectible you could imagine. Finally, there’s a section devoted to trinkets, embroidery, ceramics, perfume bottles, toys and games.
