Following the massive success of CirkAfrica, the Cirque Phénix is delighted to announce CirkAfrica2; Soweto In Harlem, a stunning, spectacular and beautiful new production set to run until January 13th. Combining circus acts, musical theatre and comedy, this is a show created for the entire family, providing an evening of entertainment you’ll never forget.

The family friendly fun and spectacle of CirkAfrica2

The show follows the adventures of José as he leaves Africa to continue his restless travels, but with his heart still full of the beauty and enchantment of the places and things he’s seen. Soon he is dazzled by the sights and sounds of the United States, and specifically Harlem, where the music and dancing evokes memories of what he has left behind. The heart of Africa beats in his mind and colours his vision.

This sensational show features 50 performers, a dozen musicians and 300 colourful and astonishing costumes on stage. It’s an exhilarating blending of acrobatics, juggling, aerial feats, amazing physical contortions, tap dancing, comedy interludes, dancing, puppetry, singing and gospel music. All these disciplines and more go together to create a joyous spectacle that is part traditional circus and part the world of musicals.

There could be no better venue for such a big and bold show than the Cirque Phénix. Built in 2000, it is the world’s largest circus tent. Huge arches support the canvas and allow a perfect view from anywhere in the seating area, so that you don’t miss a second of the action.

CirkAfrica2 is suitable for all children from the age of five.
