A wonderful way to get an interesting perspective on the new season is to visit one of the delightful terrace bars and restaurants which our city has to offer. The Opera Restaurant is located behind the elegant façade of the Palais Garnier, the mid 19th century opera house which is a Parisian landmark. A veil of glass which seems to float unsupported in the air separates Odile Decq's exquisitely flowing designs inside the restaurant from the terrace without. Upon the terrace are tables arranged as an extension of the interior, set where horse drawn carriages once dropped off theatregoers in the days of old.
Le Perchoir (The Roost) is the first rooftop bar and restaurant in Paris. Opened in 2013 it is already hugely popular and very fashionable. Perched seven stories up atop a building in Menilmontant, it offers an amazing 360 degrees panoramic view of the city from the Sacre Coeur to the Eiffel Tower and back again. Sofas strewn with cushions await your leisure and you are surrounded by planters bearing roses, lavender, grapevines and herbs whose delightful scent fills the air.
16 Haussmann is located in a wonderful Art Deco style building which is an architectural gem. This restaurant offers superb décor, plus seating designed by Philippe Starck, and a warm atmosphere; a superb setting for chef Michel Hache's cuisine with flair and originality. You can choose to dine alfresco on the leafy terrace with its charming, warm ambience.
