Family-friendly days out
Categories : Visit Paris, published on : 8/1/23
Although Paris is full of museums and exhibitions of all kinds, they are not always suitable for children. If you’re planning a family stay at the Hotel Les Plumes this summer, here are some ideas for outings either dedicated entirely to children or particularly accessible for them.
Two essential places that children love
Take your family to the Jardin des Plantes, a goldmine of education and entertainment for children and adults alike. In addition to the Grand Gallery of Evolution and the Menagerie, the nation’s main botanical garden offers temporary exhibitions such as the one currently devoted to felines. La Villette is also great fun for children. In addition to the Cité des Enfants, the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie is currently offering an exhibition called Metamorphoses. Designed for children aged 6 to 11 years, it explores the various kinds of transformations that occur in science and the imagination.
Some additional ideas
It’s fascinating for Egyptology enthusiasts, but the exhibition at La Villette entitled Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs will enchant even younger children. Meanwhile, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles is offering Harry Potter: the Exhibition. This extraordinary immersive experience plunges you into the world of the boy wizard. For a complete change of pace, head to the Musée en Herbe, a delightful art museum designed specifically for children, to see an exhibition dedicated to street-art: Seth se la Joue. Finally, why not take a detour to the Toucher Terre exhibition in the Espace Monte-Cristo gallery? More than fifty ceramic artworks on the theme of our Earth give free rein to the imagination... an experience that is ageless!
Ideally located, the Hotel Les Plumes is a great starting point for your family excursions in Paris. And if you lack ideas for days out, our team can offer several, with a particular emphasis on children.
