Categories : Hotel, published on : 8/19/14

The balmy days of summer may be handing the yearly baton to the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, but do not despair as the news of August from Les Plumes Hotel has plenty to put the smile back on your face. There are reasons to rejoice and we would like to be your guide in finding them. When you think of Paris three things are synonymous with the City of Light; fashion, culture and food. Therefore it will come as no surprise when we tell you that we have items of interest to announce in all three of those areas.

As we move rapidly towards the ready to wear wonderment of this year’s second installment of Paris Fashion Week from September 23rd, the city gears up for that event by presenting six fashion related trade shows at the same time. Taking place from September 16th to 18th in the largest convention and exhibition centre in the capital, Paris Nord Villepinte, can be found a group of events under the banner of Premiere Vision Pluriel. Amidst the 246,000 square metres of the eight exhibition halls of this colossal venue you will surely find all you could wish for in the world of textiles, clothing and accessories.

Beneath the Beaux Arts architecture and glass roof of the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées, opened in 1900, the Biennale des Antiquaires takes place. Beautiful antiques, art objects and jewellery surely could not be displayed in a finer setting. However, should all that culture make you feel peckish, then you can check out the Temple Street Food event near the Carreau du Temple and satisfy your appetite.

Fashion In Paris; Six Simultaneous Shows

For your convenience, six dynamic trade shows take place under one roof at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre at the same time; September 16th to 18th. This is your chance to explore an entire world of design, innovations and technological advances. Premiere Vision Pluriel, under the slogan, ‘Fashion needs the best’, brings together six complementary events: Premiere Vision, Indigo Paris, Expofil, Cuir a Paris, Zoom and Modamont. Each deals with different, if overlapping, areas relating to clothing, textiles and accessories and will help to bring you up to speed in time for Paris Fashion Week from September 23rd to October 1st.

Superb Art And Antiques At The Biennale des Antiquaires

Since 1962 the reputation of La Biennale des Antiquaires has swelled until today it is recognized as the foremost show of its kind. From all over the world the foremost dealers in the areas of fine art, antiques and jewellery gather together in the apt surroundings of the Grand Palais to display their finest items for your perusal. You will be amazed at the supremely high quality of the beautiful objects displayed and the exhibitors will be delighted to tell you the history behind any piece you particularly admire. If you love beauty and history, then the Grand Palais from September 11th to 21st is the place for you.

Temple Street Food; An Urban Culinary Experience For All

Perhaps you thought that Paris, where cuisine first became an art form and where some of the finest restaurants in the world are located, would not be a prime location for the guilty pleasures of street food. You would be wrong. Paris has raised street food to an art, and you can sample the results for yourself at Temple Street Food, a celebration of the urban culinary scene taking place in the vicinity of the Carreau du Temple over the weekend of September 19th to 21st. Tuck in and discover some new taste experiences.
